Vienna is not the same everywhere. Before we name a price we look closely at your photos: door widths, turning landings, the load capacity of the lift and the way from the front door to the vehicle.

In the inner districts this last stretch is often the real work, and short term parking is the reason why we arrange a no stopping zone with the City of Vienna in good time.

1010 Innere Stadt Narrow lanes, gateways and short term parking almost everywhere. We always plan the no stopping zone in.
1020 Leopoldstadt Gründerzeit buildings next to modern ones. In a period building near Praterstern the width of the staircase counts most of all.
1030 Landstraße Many inner courtyards: the way from the front door to the vehicle is often longer here than the staircase itself.
1040 Wieden High period floors. Two floors feel like three here, so we plan the number of carriers accordingly.
1050 Margareten Narrow staircases with tight turning landings, often without a lift.
1060 Mariahilf Around Mariahilfer Straße loading zones are scarce, so we come early and with a no stopping zone.
1070 Neubau Classic period buildings with a spiral staircase, the most common difficult case in our everyday work.
1080 Josefstadt Small scale buildings, often with a mezzanine that appears on no plan.
1090 Alsergrund Large period flats, high rooms and correspondingly many steps up to the flat door.
1100 Favoriten Mostly modern buildings with a lift. What matters is the load capacity and whether the grand piano fits into the cabin.
1110 Simmering Extensive estates: the approach to the right staircase has to be clarified in advance.
1120 Meidling A mixture of both. For a period building without a lift we plan on four carriers.
1130 Hietzing Villas with steps in front of the door, gravel and garden paths. We bring driving plates with us.
1140 Penzing Long approaches within the district, so we schedule appointments generously.
1150 Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus Dense development, little space in front of the building. A no stopping zone almost always makes sense here.
1160 Ottakring Steep streets and period buildings without a lift: the combination that calls for experience.
1170 Hernals A hillside location. Whether the lorry can reach the entrance we can already see from your photos.
1180 Währing Quiet residential streets, many Gründerzeit houses with a narrow stairwell.
1190 Döbling Gardens, outside stairs and hillside plots. Sometimes the crane is the safer way.
1200 Brigittenau Compact buildings with narrow stairs, and the door width decides how the job runs.
1210 Floridsdorf Mostly modern buildings with a lift and good access, so it often goes faster than expected.
1220 Donaustadt Long distances, modern buildings. From our base we are quickest here.
1230 Liesing Detached houses with steps and garage driveways. We measure the route in advance.

    What does a piano transport cost?

    Repositioning within the same flat: piano from 240 €, grand piano from 480 €. Piano transport in Vienna from 300 € , one floor is included. Grand piano transport from 480 € , ground floor. Outside Vienna from 300 € for a piano and from 480 € for a grand piano; the journey to a pickup address in Vienna or within 20 km of our base is free; up to 30 kilometres of calculated distance the kilometres are included in the base price, and beyond that every kilometre counts at 1,20 € incl. VAT as per the cost calculator. All prices include 20 % VAT.

    What does an additional floor cost?

    Up a normal staircase 36 € per floor for a piano and 60 € per floor for a grand piano. Up a spiral staircase 60 € per floor for a piano and 100 € per floor for a grand piano. With a usable lift the surcharge does not apply at all. The amount is part of the fixed price and is never charged afterwards.

    What does a crane or an external lift cost?

    We calculate that individually, price on request. If your staircase is too narrow we tell you after seeing the photos and include the crane in the quote, instead of improvising on transport day.
