How the price works
What does a piano transport in Lower Austria cost?
In Vienna only what happens inside the building counts. Outside, the van drives a route, and that route has three sections. Pull the slider and watch how the total comes together.

What happens to your piano on the transport day
An upright piano weighs between 200 and 350 kg. What a piano transport in Lower Austria costs is not decided by the distance alone, but by the way from the room to the van.
That is why we ask beforehand about floors, stairwell and building entrance. A straight way out on the ground floor is different work from a spiral staircase to the second floor, and exactly that difference is in the offer, not in an extra demand on the transport day.

Over the stairs or by lift
At least two carriers, more with narrow landings and spiral staircases. The route is measured beforehand, not decided on the day.

Placed where you want it
Secured in the van, unpacked at the delivery address and put exactly where it is meant to stand. We tidy up and drive off.

Six questions that come up before almost every transport to Lower Austria. If yours is not among them, just ask us directly.
What does a piano transport in Lower Austria cost?
From 300 € incl. VAT. The price has three parts: the base price for the piano, the floors at both addresses and the kilometres driven. We count the kilometres in three sections: the journey to you, the transport and the return trip.
How are the kilometres to Lower Austria calculated?
Within Vienna we charge no kilometres, however far it is. If the pickup address is in Vienna or within 20 kilometres of our base, the journey to you is free as well, we do not charge it. Only the route from the pickup address to the delivery address is then counted. Up to 30 kilometres that route is free too, it is inside the base price. Above that every kilometre counts from the first one, at 1,20 € per kilometre incl. VAT. If the pickup address lies outside Vienna and further than 20 kilometres from our base, the journey to you is added to that route. The return trip is added only when the calculated route is over 100 kilometres, and then at 0,60 € per kilometre incl. VAT.
What does a floor cost, what does a spiral staircase cost?
The floors of both addresses are counted together. If it stays at zero or one floor, the base price of 300 € incl. VAT applies and a straight staircase costs nothing extra. From two floors upwards the base price drops to 240 € incl. VAT and every straight floor costs 36 € incl. VAT. A spiral staircase costs 60 € per floor incl. VAT in both cases. A lift counts as zero floors.
Do steps in front of the building and a raised ground floor count as well?
Yes, but separately from the floors. Steps in front of the ground floor and a raised ground floor or mezzanine are charged at 36 € incl. VAT each, at each of the two addresses. Tell us with your enquiry what you see, we work it out beforehand, not on the transport day.
How quickly do I get an appointment?
Regular appointments are planned by arrangement. If it has to be quicker, there is the express service: transport within four working days, a surcharge of 30 % on the whole invoice.
Is my instrument insured during the transport?
Please raise the question with us. We check what insurance cover is possible for your instrument. For upright pianos there is liability cover up to 5.000 €. For grand pianos there is no comparable product on the market; what that means in your case we discuss openly with you.

What matters with a piano transport in Lower Austria
Piano and grand piano transport in Lower Austria is our daily work: narrow period stairwells in the centre, new buildings with a lift, courtyards with gravel driveways. Our carriers pack every instrument on site in blankets and straps, secure it in the vehicle and set it up again in the place you want.
