Beyond the provincial border it is the distance that decides. You give us the floors and the access, we give you the binding price before the van sets off.

Appointment and price
The same instrument, the same care. The difference lies in the date.
The van drives for your instrument alone. You name the day, we work around it. The price is fixed before the van sets off.

Vienna to Eisenstadt, upright piano, ground floor to ground floor. Longer routes such as Salzburg or Innsbruck are worked out from the kilometres driven.
„Habe 3 Klaviere transportieren lassen.“
Reliable, extremely competent, obliging, more than punctual, not the slightest damage.
Is your date flexible? Tell us.
If a van is going your way anyway, your instrument can travel with it and the transport becomes cheaper. That happens a few times a month, it cannot be planned, and asking costs nothing.
How the price works
In Vienna only what happens inside the building counts. Across Austria the van drives a long route, and that route has three sections. Pull the slider and watch how the total comes together.
Example: an upright piano, from Vienna to Eisenstadt, from the ground floor to the first floor, straight staircase, no lift.
From the shortest route out of Vienna, Vienna to Eisenstadt, to the long haul across the country to Innsbruck, the same three parts count: the base price, the floors and the kilometres. What applies in your case you see below, step by step.
Step 1 of 4
Pull the slider to the right and back again. The total below changes with it.
Start
Our base
This is where the van sets off. The base price covers the piano, the protective material, the straps, the carrying and the setting up in the new place. One floor is included.

The way from our base to your pickup address. If that address is in Vienna or within 20 kilometres of our base, we drive it at our own cost. In the example the pickup address is in Vienna.

02 Transport
Delivery address
The actual route, with the instrument secured in the van. Up to 30 kilometres it sits inside the base price, above that every kilometre counts. In the example around 60 kilometres from Vienna to Eisenstadt.

03 Return trip
Return trip to our base
It applies only when the route from the pickup address to the delivery address is over 100 kilometres, and is then worked out by the cost calculator. In the example the route is under 100 kilometres, so the return trip is not charged.

Transport day
An upright piano weighs between 200 and 350 kg. What a piano transport in Austria costs is not decided by the distance alone, but by the way from the room to the van.
That is why we ask beforehand about floors, stairwell and building entrance, at both addresses. A route to Tyrol or Carinthia is planned as a day trip, with our own team and our own vehicle, not as part-load freight on someone else’s lorry.
01 — Protection
The instrument is packed and strapped before it moves. Door frames, walls and floors along the carrying route are covered.
02 — The route
Up to six hours to Innsbruck. The instrument stays in the same hands from the pickup to the setting up, with breaks and securing planned in from the start. Who does the driving is on the page about our piano transport company in Vienna.
03 — Setting up
Unpacked at the delivery address and put exactly where it is meant to stand. We tidy up and drive off.

Frequently asked questions
Six questions that come up before almost every transport across Austria. If yours is not among them, just ask us directly.
We name the price bindingly after four photos, within 60 minutes, including 20 % VAT and with no extra charges afterwards. It has three parts: the base price for the instrument, the floors at both addresses and the kilometres driven. The journey to you is free when the pickup address is in Vienna or within 20 km of our base. What is counted is the route to the delivery address and, above 100 km, the return trip. In the calculator you see your own case line by line.
Within Vienna we charge no kilometres, however far it is. If the pickup address is in Vienna or within 20 kilometres of our base, the journey to you is free as well, we do not charge it. Only the route from the pickup address to the delivery address is then counted. Up to 30 kilometres that route is free too, it is inside the base price. Above that every kilometre counts from the first one, exactly as our cost calculator shows it. If the pickup address lies outside Vienna and further than 20 kilometres from our base, the journey to you is added to that route. The return trip is added only when the calculated route is over 100 kilometres, and is then worked out by the same cost calculator. On a domestic route that is practically always the case.
The floors of both addresses are counted together. If it stays at zero or one floor, a straight staircase costs nothing extra. From two floors upwards every further straight floor counts in the offer, and a spiral staircase counts higher than a straight one. A lift counts as zero floors. The surcharge sits inside the fixed price and is never charged afterwards.
A domestic route runs as a day trip: around four hours to Salzburg, around six to Innsbruck. You get a fixed date and an arrival window.
Regular appointments are planned by arrangement. If it has to be quicker, there is the express service: transport within four working days, a surcharge of 30 % on the whole invoice.
Yes. A grand piano needs more securing and a larger team, the legs and the pedals are removed beforehand. The route, the time window and the equipment are planned for the individual case. For Vienna there is a separate page: Grand piano transport Vienna.
Please raise the question with us. We check what insurance cover is possible for your instrument. For upright pianos there is liability cover up to 5.000 €. For grand pianos there is no comparable product on the market; what that means in your case we discuss openly with you.
We come to you
Austria-wide does not mean a little bit everywhere. These are the routes we drive regularly, with the distance and the driving time as they really are.
295 km
Around 4 hours on the motorway, a fixed part of our weekly planning. From the old town with its narrow lanes out to the lakeside communities.
300 km
Around 5 hours on the A2 and the S6. To Klagenfurt or into the lake region we plan the route, the breaks and the securing through from the start.
200 km
Around 3,5 hours on the S6 and the A2. Also communities off the main routes, when the way runs on country roads instead of the motorway.
185 km
Around 3 hours on the A1, often combined with Salzburg. From Linz out to the smaller towns of Upper Austria.
475 km
Around 6 hours, planned as a day trip. Tyrol brings altitude, narrow driveways and roads down into the valley.
And everywhere in between
Vorarlberg, Burgenland or a route across several provinces as well. For Vienna and Lower Austria there are separate pages. If the route runs beyond the national border, the separate process for international piano transport.
