General information on data processing

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website and our content and services, or when you give us your consent. The legal bases are in particular Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract and enquiry), Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation) and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent).

Hosting and access data

This website is hosted by Hostinger (Hostinger International Ltd., Kaunas, Lithuania). The hosting provider uses LiteSpeed Web Server with LiteSpeed Cache. When you visit the website, technical information is processed automatically, for example the IP address, the date and time, the page called up, the browser and the operating system. This data is necessary for the secure and stable operation of the website.

Getting in touch and contact form

If you contact us by form, email, telephone or WhatsApp, we process your details in order to handle your enquiry and for follow-up questions. The contact forms on this website are run with Contact Form 7. Mandatory fields are marked as such. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Your enquiry data is deleted once processing is complete, unless statutory retention obligations exist.

When you send a form, we store the date, time and your IP address as proof that you accepted our terms and conditions (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). If you agreed to the Marketing category and came to us through a Google ad, our email also contains the click ID of that ad (see section 12). For uploading photos the forms use technically necessary entries in your browser’s local storage.

Consent management (Borlabs Cookie)

We use Borlabs Cookie to manage your consent for certain services and cookies. On your first visit to the website a consent dialog is displayed. Your choice is stored in a cookie on your device so that your decision is respected on further page views. You can change your settings at any time through the cookie dialog. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR.

Image optimisation (Optimole)

To optimise loading times, images are delivered through the Optimole service (Vertigo Studio SA, 20 Povernei Street, 4th Floor, Flat no. 9, 010641 Bucharest, Romania, email legal@vertistudio.com). Images are processed through the Optimole servers and transmitted to your browser in a suitable format. No personal data beyond the technically necessary IP address is processed. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Caching and performance optimisation

We use WP Rocket (WP Media SAS, Lyon, France) and LiteSpeed Cache for performance optimisation. These plugins store static copies of the pages in a cache in order to shorten the loading time. WP Rocket can delay the execution of JavaScript files until a user interaction takes place. No personal data is transmitted to third parties in the process.

Google Fonts

This website uses Google Fonts, which are loaded directly from the Google servers through a CSS import instruction. When the website is called up, your browser establishes a connection to the servers of Google LLC (USA). Your IP address may be transmitted to Google in the process. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Further information: Google privacy policy.

Google Maps

On certain pages Google Maps (Google LLC, USA) may be embedded. This content is blocked by default by Borlabs Cookie and is only loaded after your consent. The same applies to the address search in the piano transport calculator. If you agree, data is transmitted to Google, for example the IP address and usage data. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent).

Google reviews (Trustindex)

To display our Google reviews we use Trustindex (Jelenszky Daniel, Budapest, Hungary). Trustindex loads review content from its own servers. Your IP address may be transmitted to Trustindex in the process. No cookies are set by Trustindex. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

WhatsApp contact (Click to Chat)

We use Click to Chat to make it easier for you to get in touch through WhatsApp. The plugin displays a WhatsApp button which opens the WhatsApp application when clicked. Data is only transmitted to WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) when you click. The plugin stores a cookie to record whether the chat button has been closed. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Analytics and advertising (only with consent)

The following services are only loaded once you have agreed in the consent dialog (Statistics or Marketing category). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR in conjunction with § 165 (3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021). You can withdraw your consent at any time through „Change cookie settings“ at the end of this page.

Google Analytics (Google LLC, USA): analysis of website use, Statistics category. Google Ads through Google Tag Manager (Google LLC, USA): measuring whether an enquiry came through one of our ads, Marketing category. Transfers to Google LLC in the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation, USA): analysis of how visitors use our pages (for example clicks and scrolling), Statistics category. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

OpenAI Ads Pixel (OpenAI Ireland Limited, Ireland, as an independent controller): measuring ads that we run in ChatGPT, Marketing category. According to OpenAI, it uses a valid transfer mechanism for transfers to third countries.

Click ID (ka_gclid). If you come to us through a Google ad and agree to the Marketing category, we store the ad’s click ID for 90 days in a cookie on your device. If you send an enquiry, this ID appears in our email so that we can see which ads lead to enquiries. Without your consent it is not stored.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Necessary cookies are required for operation and are set without consent. Other cookies are only set if you agree in the consent dialog.

Piano transport calculator

On the pages of our piano transport calculator you can calculate the price of a transport yourself. The price shown is calculated by our server from your details according to fixed rules. It is a non-binding guide price and not an offer (§ 25 of our terms and conditions). We confirm the binding fixed price once we have seen your photos.

What data is processed. For the calculation: the instrument, the pickup and delivery addresses, floor, lift, details of access and whether you want the express service. If you then send a request, also your name, email address, telephone number, preferred date and your message.

Calculating distances. To check the addresses and calculate the distances, our server sends the addresses you enter to Google Maps Platform (Google Cloud EMEA Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland). Your IP address is not transmitted, because the request comes from our server. Google processes this data as an independent controller; the Google Maps Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy apply. Transfers to Google LLC in the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The address suggestions while you type are loaded by your browser directly from Google Maps, and only after your consent (section 9). Without consent the calculator still works.

Protection against misuse. We limit the number of calculations per day. For this purpose our server creates a check value (hash) from your IP address and a secret key. The IP address itself is not stored for this. The check value is deleted automatically after about 25 hours. To protect against automated requests (spam) we use Cloudflare Turnstile from Cloudflare, Inc., USA. Turnstile is loaded when the page is opened and checks technical characteristics of your browser, for example IP address and browser identification, in order to tell people apart from automated programs. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The calculator itself does not store cookies and does not place any data in the local storage, session storage or IndexedDB of your device.

Legal basis. Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures at your request) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in quick price information and in protection against misuse and spam). Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object under Art. 21 GDPR.

Storage period. Your details for the calculation are not stored on our server. If you send a request, we receive your details and the calculated price by email; section 4 applies to this.

Your rights

You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. If the processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.
